Meet your Photographer

Hey! My name is Evan, it’s great to meet you! If you came here looking to learn more about me, then you’ve come to the right place! Here are some things I feel like you should know about me as both a person and as a photographer.

Originally, I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico and I’ve been a portrait photographer for about 4 years now. I’m currently enrolled at CU Denver in Colorado pursuing my education and working towards earning my degree in Photography. I feel like I’ve always had a keen eye for framing subjects within a given space which is why I wanted to further develop this skill at a professional level. Though, besides being a photographer, I am also a very frequent gym-goer who loves powerlifting. Bring up any topic related to weightlifting and I’ll be talking about it forever! The same can be said for the topic of Photography. But when it comes to being a photographer, I take great pride in my ability to connect with people during a shoot to make them feel more comfortable, especially if they’ve never been in front of a camera before.

Portrait photography has always been my favorite niche of photography because I’ve always loved capturing my friends in ways that make them say ‘Wow! I look really good in that.” or “I don’t look that good in real life!”. These kinds of comments inspire me to want to shoot for even more people that aren’t just my close friends. Capturing people in ways that make them feel beautiful lets me know that I’m doing my job as their photographer. I’m not just taking pictures of them for the sake of taking pictures, I’m doing it because it’s what I’m passionate about and because I want them to have those positive thoughts about themselves as well.
